First Udate: 12:42 pm
I officially started at 9:00 and I've had many distractions this morning so I'm still trucking through Mommywood by Tori Spelling.
Taking a break right now to read blog updates, and eat.
I went out last night so I started off kinda sloppy. I havent really been checking minutes read and all that, but after I get some food in me, I'm going to get all proper...lol!

Second Update: 3:56 pm
Finished my first book--Mommywood- Tori Spelling
Minutes reading-237 minutes
Going to take a 15 minute break to catch up on updates, and then back again. I mentioned in an earlier post that my husband was going to participate with me...well, he got called into work today unexpectedly, but he should be home soon, WITH SNACKS to boot. So he won't be starting until about 5pm.
Hope everyone is having fun and reading great books!

Third Update: 11:15 pm
Just finished 2nd book- Artichoke's Heart by Suzanne Supplee
Didn't really calculate minutes this time around. Took a couple of breaks, and ate dinner. Having a great time so far. Last readathon, I was a lot more strict, this time around I seem to be more laid back. I'm really enjoying myself more. Relax is way more, well relaxing. lol.

ReplyDeleteIn a Story Book
ReplyDeleteAt night when sunshine goes away,
And it's too dark for me to play,
I like to come inside, and look
For new friends in a story book.
I'm here to give you words of encouragement and cheer, but I'm more interested in Tori Spelling's book. Was it a good read? I have to go out and get it soon.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you still have energy to keep reading. 6 hours and 27 minutes to go! Go Team Shelley!!
Glad you're enjoying yourself - that's what its all about!!
ReplyDeleteTobey for Team Shelley
So happy to see you happily reading! Way to keep up the pace!
ReplyDeleteHere's a fun thought:
It is no more necessary that a man should remember the different
dinners and suppers which have made him healthy, than the different
books which have made him wise. Let us see the results of good food
in a strong body, and the results of great reading in a full and powerful mind.
