Blogger Hop

This week's question:

"What is the one bookish thing you would love to have, no matter the cost?"

--------------------------

Easy, I'd want a library.  A whole room with floor to ceiling bookshelves with cozy couches to read on.  I'd want it so big that I would need a card catalog to know where things are.

Nice to dream!

-----------------------------------

If you have wondered in for the first time let me give you alittle info on Coffee, Books and Laundry.  I do very little memes, it's mostly reviews here.  I review everything and anything.  I don't stick to one particular genre simply because there is no way I could do it.  On the sidebar I have a link to all my 2009 books read with reviews, and the 2010 books read so far.

I'm currently reading The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters.  A hefty book about a dilapidated mansion and its dwellers. A very gothic tale, interesting so far.

Just hopping by from the Blogger Hop. I remember those days of reading in between loads of laundry.

  3. The card catalog sounds daunting, but that would be so awesome to have a huge library all of your own books. Love it! Also, love your blog description. Doesn't life seem to revolve around the laundry pile sometimes?!

  13. Kids today don't even know what a card catalog is...:( their books have always been on computer. I would love to have a library as well...in every room in my house. But, I would settle for an old card catalog that I could display in my living room...how cool would that be??
    Have fun hopping this weekend!

  14. Hi Melissa, I'm visiting for the first time on the Hop!

I remember card catalogues! That would be such nerdy fun, what with all the cross-indexing and all! Definitely help when you join a themed challenge and want to know what you already have on your shelves! :)

  15. I want a card catalog, too, but to hold my CDs :)

Ha, I think 85 percent of us said library - great minds and all that! I posted a picture of what I would like mine to look like. It's, uh, ahem, nothing much. . . .

  17. I don't mind sorting the laundry and treating stains but i hate to fold it and put it away -- which is why our closet looks such a mess. I have everything for reading I could want, but if I had a daughter she would read Jane Austen, The Diary of Ann Frank, To Kill a Mockingbird, Farenheit 451, Charlotte's Web, and The Handmaids Tale. When she got a bit older I would give her the Pillars of the Earth. Come on by and see my blog ifyou are over 18:
