This week's Top Ten:
Top Ten Books I'd Play Hooky With
1. A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
A book that seems like I'd have to devote some major time with, plus it seems epic.
2. 11/23/63 by Stephen King
A chunkster about time travel...o'yeah!
3. Eon by alison Goodman
Dragons!
4. Beauty Queens by Libba Bray
5. The Neverending Story by Michael Ende
6. The Knife of Letting Go by Patrick Ness
7. World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks
8. As many John Green books I can that I haven't read
9. Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
10. 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami
Great list! Especially Beauty Queens, it's such a fun, hilarious, entertaining read that also keeps your mind thinking about important stuff.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! The Game of Thrones books were on my list as well. I think you'll enjoy them! :) And I highly recommend World War Z. It's probably the most well-thought-out and realistic zombie book I've read!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your choices!
Game of Thrones was really good, you do have to devote some time to it, but it's worth it. I haven't read any of the others here, but I have World War Z on my shelf that needs to get read.
ReplyDeleteLOL I love this week's Top Ten title! x) My mom would probably kill me if I played hooky, but I could definitely conjure up a huge list of books that I'd love to play with! ;) There are so many books on your list that I haven't heard of before, but there are also ones like The Knife of Never Letting Go and Beauty Queens that I really want to read! :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome top ten this week, Melissa!
Fantastic list! Would love for you to stop by and check out my Top Ten.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd like Game of Thrones too - nothing like a giant epic to suck all your time :) Definitely recommend Eon, I absolutely loved it. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteReady Player One is so, so good! Definitely worth playing hooky. Fun list!
