Sunday Salon

The Sunday Salon.com

For the last couple of days I've had a sore throat, and a major throbbing in my right ear, though luckily no fever.  It has been a slow reading week for me, everytime I would lay down to read, I'd end up falling asleep. I completed three books, 600 Hours of Edward by Craig Lancaster, Shrinking Violet by Danielle Joseph, and The Year of Secret Assignments by Jaclyn Moriaty.

I'm currently reading The Little Book by Seldon Edwards.  I'm also getting my books picked out for the Christmas Reading Challenge, hosted by Michelle at The True Book Addict.  If you have any Christmas book recommendations, please send them my way.

Have a great Sunday and week ahead!

  1. I hope you feel better!

I am doing that Christmas Challenge too. I am currently reading The Christmas Cookie Club by Ann Pearlman (and I would not recommend it). My second book I chose is Matchless by Gregory maguire which sounds like fun. Hopefully it will be better than this one.

Do you like to go more classic for Christmas reading or new cutsey fiction books that come out this time of year? or funny?
Holidays on Ice by David Sedaris is HILARIOUS!

I'll see if I can think of any more.

    Take care,
    Michelle

  2. Hope you feel better soon!

I'm doing the holiday challenge by All about {n} but I'm not sure what to read either, haha. I think I'll try The Stupidest Angel by Christopher Moore but I want to have more stream lined ones too. I think I'll do Dickens's Christmas Carol but not sure what else.

  3. Michelle- I was thinking of trying to incorporate maybe one classic, but I'm not sure. I have The Gift by Cecelia Ahern, and I was thinking about The Christmas List because I saw they had that at the library, but I'm not sure. Holiday's On Ice sounds good.

Jenny- The Stupidest Angel sounds great, too. I was thinking of The Christmas Carol since it's a classic, but I don't know. Is that the only Christmas Classic out there? That is the only one I can think of.

  5. It's the only one I can think of... I thought about doing Little Women and considering that a holiday one, but I decided against fitting that one in anyway.
